The annual St. Ignatius Candlelight Carol Service and Christmas fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, 14 December, at 7pm in the school courtyard.
The event will feature readings for the season, singing of carols, bands and choirs, all in the open air with festive Christmas lights.
The programme will conclude with the gate prize drawing of CI$25,000, a second prize of CI$2,500, and a third prize of US$2,500. There are several additional prizes, including five Cayman Airways US$300 travel vouchers, which can be used toward any Cayman Airways destination.
This is the main annual fundraiser for St. Ignatius, with net proceeds to benefit both the church and school. The church will invest funds toward facilities improvements, as well as community and religious programmes. The school will use the proceeds toward the facilities development fund. A portion of the proceeds will also go to the scholarship fund, which provides tuition assistance for families unable to afford full fees.
Tickets cost $25, and are available at the school or church offices, as well as from a number of parents, students, and church members. Tickets are also on sale at several businesses, including: Full of Beans, Final Touch, Island Cleaners, Walkers Road Texaco, GT Automotive, Funky Tangs, Mike’s Ice, Cayman Imports, A.L. Thompson Home Depot, Asian Retailer, just to name a few.
Tickets will be on sale outside most major supermarkets through 13 December.
Ticket holders do not need to be present to win and all winners will be notified by phone on 14-15 December. The prize drawing is always fully audited by KPMG and full results will be posted on the school website: www.st-ignatius.com.
