N’Vogue fosters local talents

N’Vogue Productions Ltd, an event planning and productions firm in Grand Cayman, is fostering the artistic talents of young Caymanians in the areas of fashion, design, pageants and entertainment by hosting events during the coming year.

Beginning in January 2012, the organisation will be hosting a Ms. Beauty of the Cayman Islands Pageant, which includes titles of Mrs. Cayman Islands and Ms Modern Curves.

On 29 January, Miss Earth Cayman Islands 2012 and Mr. Cayman 2012 will take place.

It is hoped by organisers that each pageant will give entrants the opportunity to showcase their talents, and possibly win a chance to represent the Cayman Islands abroad.

Another highlight planned will be a Fashion Extravaganza during the last week of May. The event celebrates international couture and Caribbean fashion. The event will showcase the talents of local designers, including Caymanian Jawara Alleyne.

Casting call for models will be released in the coming weeks.

Jacqui Prince, managing director of N’Vogue Productions, said, “We have worked hard to create opportunities for young Caymanians to excel in the fashion world, whether it is through modelling, fashion and design or event production.
