Police seize prohibited weapons

Police seized two unlicensed spear guns, a dagger, a flick knife and other weapons during a search of a house in Bodden Town on Friday. 

Shortly before 5pm Friday, 16 December, police officers carried out an operation at the house in the Northward Road area of Bodden Town. 

They arrested the householder on suspicion of possession of unlicensed spear guns and prohibited weapons. 

During the search, they also found a baton and a knuckle duster. 

Royal Cayman Islands Police Service Chief inspector Robert Scotland said, “These types of operations will continue throughout the Eastern districts in an effort to take illegal and unlicensed weapons off the streets.”
