Domino players in the Cayman Islands hope to be famous on Heroes Day.
Jacques Scott, along with the management of Mango Tree, will be hosting their annual Jacques Scott domino tournament on Monday, 23 January. The Mango Tree will see action starting from 1.30pm featuring Cayman Islands Domino Association registered teams.
The event started on Sunday and there will be cash prizes and trophies for the winners.
In addition to the tournament, the national domino league continued on Saturday. The two East End teams, namely Eastern Star and East End Mystical Youth, faced off against each other at Eastern Star Bar.
Coming into the weekend a number of players had done well for their teams. Island All Stars got star performances from Oleta Elliott and Marcia Myles while Linton Barkley and Alphanso Ebanks starred for Kelly’s. Singh’s Roti Shop featured Don Myles and Otis Chambers and DLK were led by Mitchell Grant and Elvis Bodden.
