Shanika wins delicious prize

Shanika Clarke is the winner of a fabulous culinary prize. 

The consultant won a prize bag including two tickets for Taste of Cayman, two tickets to the Agua Fresh Lobster and Conch event, two Taste of Cayman T-shirts, two Margaritaville Monday tickets, two swag bags with food and wine goodies and a Michael’s Genuine Cookbook. 

“It felt amazing to win. I make Taste of Cayman my playground every year,” said the lucky winner. “I signed up for the competition online as I subscribe to the Caymanian Compass. I am a culinary fan and cook at home; a lot of local stuff. My mother is Cuban so I do Cuban cuisine and also Italian.”  

Ms. Clarke is originally from West Bay and works for Kinetic Partners.

Great success  

The competition was run by the Cayman Free Press and the Cayman Islands Tourism Association. Jane van der Bol of the tourism body said that it had been a great success. 

“It’s Culinary Month and the winner is going to some great events with lots of fun things. It is a great package to win and I would like to thank Cayman Free Press for working on this with the association,” Ms. van der Bol said.
