Elite stay top as FA Cup nears

All three top teams won in the Premier League over the weekend so there are no significant changes, but in the relegation clash Roma United got the better of Future, clawing themselves back from two down to win handsomely.

At the TE McField Annex on Sunday, Roma found themselves 2-0 behind after Johnny Johnson (11th minute) and Denver Barnes (24th) netted for Future but came storming back after the break with strikes from Kemar Sanderson (57th) Kevin McField (63rd and 89th) and Cesar Forbes (82nd).

In the second game at the Annex, Bodden Town took advantage of Cayman Athletic’s lack of training over the last three weeks to thump them 5-1. Bodden Town goals came from Thomas Bush (25th and 40th), Wesley Robinson (63rd), Jorronie McLean (80th) and Kareem James (86th). Christopher Ebanks scored for Cayman Athletic in the 27th minute.

At the Ed Bush stadium in West Bay, Scholars International overcame a stubborn George Town side with late strikes from Nahun Rodriguez in the 70th minute and Mark Ebanks in the 85th.

Elite remain at the top of the table – only on goal difference from Scholars though and three points ahead of Bodden Town, thanks to goals by Jedd Ebanks (19th), Dwayne Wright (63rd) and Jose Luis Bush (88th) in their 3-1 win. Jesus Nunez got the Tigers score in the 44th.

First round FA Cup action is next, this weekend with First Division teams facing the
big boys.
