Members of the Garden Club of Grand Cayman are planning for their upcoming flower show, Peace, Love & Flowers.
The show begins Thursday, 22 March then opens to the public on Friday, 23 March at 9am. Staged at the George Town public library, the show features horticulture, table designs, miniature and small designs, artistic crafts, and educational exhibits for adults and youth. The horticulture committee welcomes public entries.
The cut stem classes include flowering plants and vines, foliage plants and ornamental shrubs. The container-grown flowering or foliage plants must have been in the exhibitor’s possession more than 90 days prior to the show and exhibited in a clean, unwrapped container with an inside diameter of 9 inches or less. Cut specimens can be placed in a bottle with plain transparent, clear or slightly tinted glasses appropriately sized to the specimen. Some bottles will be available at the flower show.
