Wright gets By Rite right

Captain Conroy Wright ensured that By Rite started the season well with an excellent all round performance. Batting first in their Division 1 match, By Rite totalled 191 for 5 against Esso Tigers with Wright scoring 47 not out and getting good support from Omar Willis, Omar Bryan and Adrian Wright.

Although Darren Cato continued his great start to 2012 following up his 103 last week with another sound knock of 64, By Rite restricted Esso Tigers to 153 winning by 38 runs. Leading wicket takers for By Rite were Kenute Tulloch, Conroy Wright, Bryan and Adrian Wright.

In Division 2 action it was the battle of the hundreds with Cayman Brac coming out the winner in a 90 runs victory against UCCI/West Bay. Leading the runs spree was Cayman Brac Desrick Dawson 110 and Hetram Sohan 69 while Ugal Sicard’s 125 was not enough for UCCI/West Bay.

JJ’s defeated Oneness by a massive 294 runs at the Smith Road Oval. Ladel Farquhason missed out on a hundred but still hit six sixes and eight fours in scoring 95. Joining in the action were Vincent Ebanks 51, Omar Bryan 47 and Joseph Bent 41.
