Two hospitalised in crash

A man and a woman are recovering in hospital following a two-vehicle collision in East End district overnight, according to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.

At 12.17am Thursday, police said a Toyota Rav 4 was being driven westbound toward Bodden Town on Sea View Road. As the car was negotiating a left hand bend it collided with an eastbound Mitsubishi Lancer.

RCIPS officers said The Toyota overturned, trapping the male driver inside. He was cut from the vehicle once emergency services arrived on scene.

The man and the female driver of the Mitsubishi were transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital, George Town where they received treatment. Both are said to be in stable condition.

Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact the RCIPS Traffic Dept. on 946-6254.
