Rob Aspinall earns CAIA designation

Deloitte Cayman Islands has announced Rob Aspinall, senior manager, financial advisory services, has passed the Level II exams of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst programme and has been admitted to the programme’s membership ranks as an official charter holder.

Sponsored by the CAIA Association, the programme’s designation is the only global benchmark of knowledge for individuals specialising in alternative investments. Covering real assets, private equity, commodities, hedge funds, and structured products, the programme’s qualification proves a commitment to professionalism and command of alternative investment industry’s unique fundamentals.

The programme’s curriculum provides investment industry participants an understanding of the risk return attributes of alternative investments and their role in the asset allocation process. It is comprised of study materials written by industry experts, academics, and researchers.

“As the global mark of distinction in alternative investments the CAIA qualification is highly relevant to the Cayman Islands’ finance community, and I highly recommend this challenging and intelligently structured course,” Mr. Aspinall said.

“Rob’s achievements are a testament to his knowledge and commitment to the hedge fund industry,” said Stuart Syberma, partner, financial advisory services. “I know he worked exceptionally hard to complete both sets of exams within a year and all of his colleagues at Deloitte would like to congratulate him on this achievement”.
