Interested in making video documentaries but not sure where to start?
Local video engineers Vintroy and Wayneroy Randall will lead a video documentary workshop at the George Town Primary School for budding young filmmakers ages 10 to 25 on Saturday, 26 May, from 11am to 2pm.
In the workshop, organised by the New Self-Help Community Foundation and sponsored by the Ministry of Health, Environment, Youth, Sports and Culture, the Randalls will work with students, showcase their work and prepare them to video document the 11th Annual Talent Exposition of the Arts scheduled for 24 June at the Harquail Theatre.
The New Self-Help Community Foundation, a nonprofit organisation aiming to help teenage youth develop a sense of self-worth, independence and community spirit, is offering a series of training and experience in the arts, including video-documentary production, songwriting, poetry, photography and drama, as part of its Project 2012 programme.
The workshop is limited to 50 participants, so early registration is encouraged. Register by 927-4777.
