Bank holiday road closures

Some roads in George Town will be closed on Saturday and Monday for events connected with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Fort Street from the clock tower to the traffic lights, Albert Panton Street at the junction with Cardinall Avenue and Edward Street at the post office junction will be closed from 5am on Sunday, 3 June until 6pm on Monday, 4 June, to facilitate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee parade/ceremony and the International Day of Culture event in the George Town Library car park.

Between 2pm and midnight on Saturday, 2 June, the junctions of Boilers Road and South Church Street; Sheddon Road and Elgin Avenue, by Royal Bank of Canada; and Cardinall Avenue and Harbour Drive will be closed to facilitate the Queen’s Jubilee Flotilla and Fireworks display.
