The Year 2 students of the Sir John A. Cumber Primary School recently benefited from an educational experience that was presented by some members of the Cayman Islands Fire Service.
The students were conducting an inquiry into their rights and responsibilities and people from the community who aid in providing such. In learning about their right to safety and protection, firefighters from the West Bay unit gave an informative and practical demonstration on their role as fire and rescue workers. The students also learned more about their responsibility to abide by rules to ensure safety at home, school, at play and on the road.
Principal Joseph Wallace, as well as teachers and students of Year 2, expressed appreciation to Ronnie Dixon, senior divisional officer of the Cayman Islands Fire Station and his team for facilitating this educational experience.
