We love pub quizzes here in Weekender towers, although we’re not very good at them.
And we also like helping the Cayman Islands Humane Society, which does such awesome work in assisting animals find new foster owners, forever homes and all sorts of services which often go unseen by the public.
One of these is the programme which assists in transferring dogs to their new homes in the United States, something which is very valuable in trying to keep the always-overbulging shelter population into something as manageable as possible.
Pub quiz
Of course, this costs money – what doesn’t? – so at 7pm on Thursday, 20 September we’ll be down at the appropriately-named Doghouse for the latest Cayman Islands Humane Society pub quiz.
It’s $10 per person, with teams of a maximum of six people each; quizmaster is Ann Ghezzi and there are fantastic prizes for first, second and third place.
So not only are the quizzes a huge load of fun, but there’s also the satisfaction of helping a really worthy cause at the same time.
Now we’re off to prepare by learning all the names of the green properties on the Monopoly board (Motorhead edition).
