Banaca Boyz still top

The five-a-side football league at King’s Sports Centre is approaching the play-off stages and in both divisions it is clear who are going to be the likely champions.

Banaca Boyz continue to lead the combined Division One and Two league.

Banaca Boyz were awarded the points in their fixture when Hurley’s missed the game.

Hurley’s are second in the league. They played BDO, winning 3-1 thanks to two from Yannick Solomon and a Dion Brandon strike. Johnny Johnson got BDO’s.

CFP Buzz Crusaders are third having beaten fourth placed Security Centre 6-1 last week.

Kyle Santamaria and Thomas ‘Chip’ Bush hit two each for Buzz and their scoring was completed by Dave McLaughlin and Carson Fagan. Ben Marlon got Security Centre’s goal.

Fifth placed Appleby beat seventh placed West Star 3-2. Appleby goals came from Julian Narcise, Theron Wood and Chris Ebanks.

Carlos Ebanks and Jerronie McLean were the West Star marksmen.

CML Claymores lead Division Three’s ‘social’ league. They were held 4-4 by second placed Deloitte. Zach Schelp, Paul Smith and Craig Gibson (2) hit Deloitte’s goals and Alan Johnson got one of CML’s.

Ben Hooper, Richard Crozier and Neil Coley fired home PWC’s goals as they beat XQ’s 3-1 whose goal came from Tom Mayman.

Ricky Parsons and Chris Douglas found the net for Ernst and Young who beat Dog House II 2-0.
