Knife attack in George Town

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service report that at approximately 5.45pm on Wednesday, 10 October 2012 a 24 year old female was walking from Courts Road to the rear of Lakeside Apartments on Esterley Tibbets Highway, George Town.

The victim was then approached by the suspect who was in possession of a knife. The suspect attacked the victim, which resulted in her receiving lacerations to her stomach, leg and left hand.

The suspect then ran off with the victim’s groceries. A police search for the suspect proved negative.

Injuries to the victim are not life threatening and she was taken to George Town hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as male, approximately 6 feet in height, slim build, light brown skin with low cut hair. He was wearing blue shorts and a white short sleeved T shirt, he also spoke with a caymanian accent
