George Town high five

George Town bounced back after being thrashed by Bodden Town 7-2 the previous week to smash five past Academy in the Cayman Islands Premier League at the TE McField Annex on Sunday.

Kevin Moore headed home in the second minute for George Town and scored again in the 66th minute. Lorenzo Brown (42nd), Tex Whitelocke (84th) and Fabian Malcolm (86th) got the other GT goals. Academy’s Emmanuel Brown struck for his side in the 56th minute.

Elite stayed unbeaten, with their third win in a row, by defeating Bodden Town 2-1 through Rene Carter (32nd) and Hank Parchment (45th) goals. Alex Belcher had put BT ahead in the 15th minute.

North Side Beat Tigers 3-1 thanks to goals by Floyd McKenzie, Guiton King and Orlando Powell. Miguel Simms hit the Tigers goal.

League champs Scholars International are second behind Elite thanks to a 2-1 win against Cayman Athletic. Aldene Forbes and Nahun Rodriguez fired home for Scholars and Christopher Ebanks got the Athletic strike.

Scholars play Tigers first at 5pm and Elite face Academy at 7pm at Ed Bush in West Bay on Sunday.

Bodden Town are up against North Side and then Cayman Athletic face George Town at the TE McField Annex in George Town.
