Unleash your inner Warhol at the Factory Ball! A fundraising gala for the National Gallery, the Factory Ball takes place next Friday, 30 November.
The highly anticipated National Gallery Fundraising Gala is inspired by the spirit of Andy Warhol and his legendary NYC Factory studio. Warhol’s studio in Manhattan became as famous for its parties as for the ‘Pop art’ he produced there. From the mid 60s to mid 70s his Factory was home to a host of colourful characters from musicians like Lou Reed and Mick Jagger to superstars and supermodels. From silkscreens to screentests, Warhol defined a generation of artists, and the factory was the hangout for the hip crowd.
For the Factory Party, the National Gallery facility will be transformed for the evening.
There will be signature cocktails, canapés and dinner, followed by music inspired by the mid 60s and mid 70s to ensure a true disco atmosphere. Party-goers will groove the night away in their best “Warhol Chic” style, while supporting an important fundraising event for NGCI Education Programmes.
“With the combination of a great art-inspired theme and the fantastic new premises, this year’s Gala promises to be an event to remember,” says NGCI Events Manager Lesley Arthur.
