Lighthouse Point earns accolades

West Bay property Lighthouse Point has been widely feted for its environmentally-conscious operation and has received another accolade.

Fodor’s Choice is only awarded to the to 15 per cent of its listed properties and the resort’s Jay Easterbrook expressed his delight.

“We are very honoured to have been chosen by Fodor’s as being amongst the best of the best in the world, echoing the 2011 Governor’s Award for sustainable engineering and the environment,” said the architect, engineer, builder and owner of Lighthouse Point. “It was my passion to build this signature development that is truly sustainable with all the latest and greatest green technology, but still providing the highest quality of life for living, playing and vacationing that is enjoyed by the owners, guests and tourist alike.” Every year, Fodor’s writers experience, examine and evaluate thousands of hotels, restaurants and attractions in their travels across the globe. While every business included in a Fodor’s guide is deemed worth a traveller’s time, said the company, only those offering a truly remarkable experience are given the Fodor’s Choice designation.

“This is an outstanding and well-deserved achievement and underscores the Cayman Islands positioning as a world class vacation destination,” Cayman Islands Premier McKeeva Bush.
