Several hurt in Breakers smash

Several people, including three children, were hurt in a late afternoon smash in Breakers.

Around 4.20pm Monday, emergency services attended a two vehicle accident in which a silver Honda Civic was travelling towards Bodden Town from East End and lost control on a bend in the road.

The Honda collided with a Chevrolet Optra travelling in the opposite direction.

A 32-year-old female driving the Chevy and three passengers – aged 15,11 and 8 – were all hurt. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the Honda Civic, 32, received serious injuries to both his legs.

All five people involved in the smash were taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town. Both cars were seriously damaged.

Any witnesses to the accident are asked to contact the Bodden Town Police Station at 949-2220.
