The Bodden Town District Health Centre has re-opened for business.
Health Services Authority and government officials re-opened the centre on Friday, 25 January, with a small ceremony.
The centre was closed for six weeks to carry out renovations. Bodden Town residents and other users of the clinic were asked to use the East End Health Centre or the General Practice Clinic at the George Town Cayman Islands Hospital.
Several repairs were made on the building. The roof and ceiling was repaired; the flooring in the dental clinic replaced and windows, which were unable to open, were replaced. According to HSA CEO Linnette Yearwood, many other minor renovations were carried out on the building. She thanked everyone for their teamwork patience and understanding while the work was being carried out.
“The clinic has served the people of Bodden Town extremely well over the years and the renovations were very much needed,” said Health Minister Mark Scotland. He thanked everyone for their patience and involvement in getting the work completed.
