The musical production of “Oliver!” continues with more performances over the weekend at Cayman Prep school on Walkers Road.
Young stars have been working incredibly hard to get the production up and running and as ever everything has come together in a spectacular stage set, show and a great band. There are as many as 40 musical numbers which is challenging for any group but Caymam Prep’s talented band has stepped up to the plate for Lionel Bart’s timeless score.
Victorian London
First-time director Laura Knox praised the students and staff both onstage and those involved with technical, stage design, backstage and front of house matters, all of whom were vital in bringing the atmosphere and feel of Victorian London to life.
Tickets are on sale at Cayman Prep and High School sites at Smith Road and Walkers Road. Adults: $15; Students: $10; Under 5 years: $5.
Performances take place at the high school on Friday, 1 March at 7pm and Saturday, 2 March with a 2pm matinee as well as at 7pm.
