Scotiabank backs sluggers

Scotiabank is stepping up its support for Little League Baseball.

Scotiabank will be donating thousands of dollars to the Cayman Islands Little League Association’s 2013 spring season. The company will mark the occasion by presenting player uniforms and handing over a sponsorship cheque for the campaign to competition organisers this Saturday, 9 March, at 8am at Field of Dreams.

A bank representative will also be delivering a motivational pep talk to the Scotiabank T-Ball team, which will be kicking off their season with their first match up against Team Butterfield.

Scotiabank’s sponsorship assists the organisers to operate the programme free of charge as they teach children the fundamentals of baseball.

Scotiabank has been strongly supporting youth sports in the region through netball, cricket, football, swimming and tennis. Here in the Cayman Islands, the target sports are football, baseball, tennis and sailing.
