Seven Mile Beach voted one of world’s finest

Visitors to the popular travel review and booking site TripAdvisor have named Seven Mile Beach among the world’s top 25 beaches.

The iconic white sand of the famous stretch of Grand Cayman ranked 23rd by readers and reviewers.

Rabbit Beach in Lampedusa, Italy topped the list. Among the other Caribbean beaches named were No. 2 Grace Bay, Providenciales (Turks and Caicos Islands); No. 5 Flamenco Beach, Culebra (Puerto Rico); No. 8 Horseshoe Bay, Southhampton Parish (Bermuda); No. 9 Eagle Beach, Aruba; No. 11 Playa Paraiso, Cayo Largo (Cuba); and No. 22 The Baths, Virgin Gorda (British Virgin Islands).

“It’s good news that the Cayman Islands is listed in the Top 25 Beaches on TripAdvisor,” said Jane van der Bol, executive director of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association. “With only five Caribbean islands listed, our famous Seven Mile Beach was awarded position No. 23.

“TripAdvisor is a powerful travel research tool,” she added. “Many consumers use some sort of social media to research travel bookings and the most popular is TripAdvisor as a source of information, reviews and advice.”
