A rush-hour crash Friday evening left a badly damaged motorbike lying across the hood of a car on North Sound Road in George Town.

The accident occurred in the turning lane of the road, in front of Plaza Venezia, shortly before 5.30pm.

According to witnesses at the scene, at least one person – the motorcyclist – was taken to Cayman Islands Hospital where his condition Friday evening was described as stable.

Motorists slowed down to a crawl as they passed the bizarre sight of the blue, red and white Suzuki bike on top of the silver BMW car.

The front of the car was damaged and its windscreen was smashed, while parts of the bike were strewn around the road.
