Cops investigate Frank Sound Road burglary

Police are requesting the public’s help after a Frank Sound Road home was broken into late last week and an undisclosed amount of jewellery taken from the property.

Authorities were contacted at about 2pm Friday by a member of the public who said they had observed two males with masks running away from a residence on Frank Sound Road, according to a news release issued by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service. The owner was contacted and returned to their home, where they discovered that a rear door had been pried open and that their bedrooms had been ransacked, police said.

An inventory was taken and jewellery was found to be missing.

The suspects were described as follows:

Suspect 1 – Slim build; in his early 20s; brown complexion; wore red basketball shorts, red jersey with a mask on his face and was carrying what appeared to be a machete.

Suspect 2 – Brown complexion, wearing black short pants, black jersey and a mask on his face.

Anyone who has information in regard to this incident is urged to contact the Bodden Town police station CID at 947-2220 or Detective Khalesiah Barboram at 326-1899.
