Cayman Islands Governor-designate Helen Kilpatrick will be dropping in late Thursday for a 48-hour visit to Grand Cayman.
The visit to get acquainted with certain key personnel and to familiarise herself with the Cayman Islands will last only until Saturday evening, when Ms Kilpatrick will leave the islands. She’s planning a short conference with the local media on Saturday.
Ms Kilpatrick won’t officially arrive in the Cayman Islands to replace outgoing Governor Duncan Taylor until late August or early September.
It was announced earlier this year that Mr. Taylor would leave the British overseas territory to take up the ambassadorship with the UK government in Mexico.
