Police arrested a man Sunday after an 8-year-old boy was knocked down by a car in West Bay.
Police said they received a report of the child being struck by a car on Nettie Rivers Lane around 3:45 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived at the location, they did not find the child or the car, but officers observed blood and other evidence of someone being struck by a car.
It emerged that the child had been taken by a private vehicle to Cayman Islands Hospital, where his injuries Monday were described by police as not being life threatening.
According to police, a man was subsequently located and arrested.
