George Town Primary gets help from CUC

Caribbean Utilities Company has donated new thermal lunch kits to students at George Town Primary School.

Richard Hew, CUC president and CEO, made the presentation to the school’s principal Marie Martin, deputy principal Dorothy Bodden-Wilson, and six students at the start of the new school year.

“CUC has adopted George Town Primary School and we are always thinking of ways to assist with the ongoing growth and development of the school and its students,” said Mr. Hew. “We are happy to be able to support the students in this way and hope that they enjoy the lunch kits.”
CUC volunteers also assisted with the cleaning up of classrooms and repairing of equipment in order to ensure that the environment was ready for the children’s return to school.

“The staff and students are extremely appreciative of these thermal lunch kits, which students will find handy and convenient,” Ms Martin said. “CUC has always been supportive of programs at our school and continues to demonstrate good corporate citizenship to the community and, in particular, to the George Town Primary School.”
