Two armed and masked robbers held up a George Town gas station late Tuesday.
According to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, at approximately 10:50 p.m. two men entered Brown’s Esso station in industrial park area of George Town.
One of the robbery was in possession of a hand gun, police said.
Investigators said money was demanded from a customer and staff before the store’s cash pan was removed, after which both suspects ran from the building.
No one was injured and no shots were fired.
The first robber was described as 5’10″ tall, with a slim build, wearing a black jacket with hoodie, black mask, long blue jeans pants and white gloves.
The second suspect was described as 5’11″ tall, with a slim build and dressed in similar clothing as the first suspect.
Tuesday night’s heist was the fourth armed robbery of a local business to occur since Saturday on Grand Cayman.
