Caymanian bishop honored in Jamaica

A Caymanian bishop has been honored in the service of religion and motivation in Portmore, Jamaica.

Juliette Fagan received the award during Portmore’s Municipality Heroes Day ceremony Tuesday.

Ms Fagan’s travels took her to Jamaica several years ago on a mission from her church in Cayman – Vision Church of God on McField Lane, Eastern Avenue in George Town.

Since that time, the pastor and surgical technologist with more than 20 years’ experience in the medical field has furthered her studies in alternative medicine while sharing her faith in God with the people of Jamaica.

Portmore’s deputy mayor, Leon Thomas, said he was proud of the ministry work being carried out in the Greater Portmore and Daytona area.

“It was during a period when two areas were at war and within weeks of the ministry tent being erected in the community, the war had ceased as the church brought peace, unity and calm to the area,” he said.

Ms Fagan currently oversees two church branches in Jamaica and plans to extend to other parishes. She also intends to complete the establishment of a Bible school after hosting Bible studies for students in Cayman and in Jamaica.
