Chanel Faith-Ann Ebanks, 23, appeared in Summary Court on Tuesday, charged with importing a Witness .45 pistol without a firearm import licence.
The alleged offense was said to have occurred on May 20 at Owen Roberts International Airport.
She is also accused of possessing the handgun, plus a holster, scope and firearm cleaning accessories not in accordance with the Firearms Law.
It was her first court appearance in this matter and defense attorney Lucy Organ received disclosure papers from Crown Counsel Tricia Hutchinson.
Magistrate Kirsty-Ann Gunn set Tuesday, Jan. 7, as the next mention date. Bail was continued with the condition that Ebanks provide one surety in the sum of $5,000.
