Sunday, April 13, is observed as Palm Sunday or Passion Sunday, the start of the Easter Holy Week.
A number of churches will hold special services.
Elmslie United Church on Harbour Drive holds Palm Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. An Easter Cantata will be presented at 7 p.m.
South Sound United Church has its service at 9 a.m.
St. Alban’s Church of England holds the liturgy and procession of palms at 9:30 a.m., followed by Holy Communion. The church is at 461 Shedden Road.
St. Ignatius Catholic Church celebrates Mass at 6 p.m. on Saturday; 8 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday. The Way of the Cross will be conducted around the parish grounds, with prayer and meditation, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The church is on Walkers Road.
Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in West Bay has Mass at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday.
Stella Maris Catholic Church in Cayman Brac has Mass at 11 a.m.
