By Rite kept Prison caged in

By Rite stormed to the top of Division 1 with an easy victory against Prison while defending champions Greenies 1 had to endure showers of blessings at Smith Road Oval.

Playing at the Jimmy Powell Oval in West Bay, By Rite limited a depleted Prison team to 107 with Devon Williams the chief destroyer taking 4 wickets. Only Kervin Ebanks 42 provided any resistance. It was plain sailing as By Rite’s Adrian Wright 51 and Ainsley Hall 47 ensured a 10 wicket victory.

In Division 2, Sol Cubs’ Milton Johnson 73 and Shane Cato 20 combined to lead their team to a 4 wicket victory against Chillies. Rocky Ebanks 45 not out and Larry Bodden 35 were amongst the runs for Chillies but it was not enough to stop Sol Cubs.

In the Women League, a blistering knock of 66 with 15 fours and 1 six by Carneth Thomas lead Panthers to resounding victory against Strikers.

Other excellent contributions came from Wyvonne Forbes 42, Marcia Moiten 25 and Desrene Cox 24. Strikers were limited to 141 with Vanessa Cameron 38 and Rosemarie Wilson 31. Panthers won by 51 runs.
