Both the National Workforce Development Agency and the government’s Department of Labour and Pensions will have representatives on Cayman Brac today [Tuesday].
The representatives from the two departments will be working between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday.
The somewhat unusual step comes after the labor department decided to temporarily shutter its Brac office for unspecified reasons.
According to a statement from the department: “We can confirm that there is an ongoing matter which is currently being handled internally by the Department of Labour and Pensions, and which requires the temporary closure of the Cayman Brac Office of the DLP.
“However in any event, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman clientele are being serviced by the Grand Cayman Office, and Grand Cayman Officers will also be visiting the Cayman Brac office during the month.”
