Man stabbed in bar fight

A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the neck in a bar in West Bay in the early hours on Saturday.

The victim, who claimed to have been stabbed at the Memory Lane bar on Hell Road, suffered serious but not life threatening injuries in the incident.

His condition was described as stable on Sunday.

Police said in a statement that officers had responded to reports of a stabbing at 2:18 a.m.

“On arrival at Birch Tree Hill, a 24 year-old male was observed with stab wounds to the neck. The male alleged that he was stabbed at the Memory Lane bar on Hell road and then walked to Birch Tree Hill.”
