Two injured in stabbing attack

Another stabbing attack on Grand Cayman sent two men to the hospital, one with serious neck and back wounds after he was apparently stabbed by a relative.

Royal Cayman Islands Police officers said the 33-year-old man was in critical condition after being stabbed in the upper back and right side of the neck. He also had slash wounds to his face.

Police said an argument between the two family members happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday on Oak Mill Street in George Town’s Windsor Park neighborhood. Callers reported that one of the men stabbed in the fight had collapsed in his driveway.

The other man injured in the attack suffered stab wounds to his right thigh and had other cuts about his body, police said. He was transported to hospital, treated and released. He was arrested by police on suspicion of wounding.

Both weapons used were recovered and police said it appeared no other assailants were involved.
