Planned power cut, road closure for BT

Traffic in Bodden Town will be affected and some residents will experience power outages Thursday morning as Caribbean Utilities Company carries out an upgrade on electrical lines in the area.

The upgrade work will impact traffic between Manse Road and Cumber Avenue. According to police, one lane will be open for west-bound traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. East-bound traffic will be diverted through Anton Bodden Drive.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., west-bound traffic will be diverted through Anton Bodden Drive and one lane will be open for east-bound traffic.

CUC advises that customers from Manse Road to Monument Road will experience interruptions to their electrical service between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The interruptions will affect residents living in the area from the junction with Manse Road and Shamrock Road to Monument Road and all side roads.

Customers on Monument Road will experience power outages, but there will be no interruption to service for residents on Manse Road, CUC said.
