Cayman Finance hosts its second annual New York Breakfast Briefing on Thursday at the Harvard Club of New York City. The guest list includes senior industry representatives from Cayman’s financial services firms and their New York-based key clients and contacts.
Featured speakers include Wayne Panton, minister of Financial Services, Commerce and Environment, and Cayman Finance CEO Jude Scott.

Minister Panton will provide an update on enhancements to Cayman’s regulatory, immigration and policy environments that are designed to create efficiencies and make it more attractive and easier to do business in the Cayman Islands.
“The Cayman Islands government is constantly striving to improve its business environment to ensure that Cayman remains a premier international financial center,” Minister Panton said. “Meeting key industry stakeholders in New York and hearing their views face-to-face is an important and vital part of our strategy to ensure that Cayman remains at the forefront of financial services developments.”
Jackie Doak, chief operating officer of Dart Realty, will highlight Dart’s inward investment in the Cayman Islands and future investment in infrastructure, covering the islands’ tourism and financial services sectors.
The event is further represented by the Cayman Islands government with the Ministry’s Chief Officer Dax Basdeo, Councilor Roy McTaggart and Senior Legislative Policy Adviser Andre Ebanks also attending.
The Breakfast Briefing is part of a week-long schedule of meetings with leading law and accounting firms, top financial institutions and U.S. media.
