The 20th annual Chamber of Commerce careers, education and training expo promises to be the largest in several years, with 37 exhibitors slated for the event on Friday.
Some of the island’s biggest employers, including Dart and The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, as well as educational institutions such as the University of Tampa will be exhibiting at the event.
Job-seekers and school-leavers will be able to get advice about scholarships and career opportunities at the event, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sir Vassel Johnson Hall at the University College of the Cayman Islands.
Wil Pineau, chief executive officer of the Chamber, said the event is aimed at helping students shape their future education choices, as well as people looking for a career change. “This will be the largest gathering in several years,” he said.
He said the Chamber is trying to get younger students to attend to help them make early decisions on what type of educational opportunities to pursue.
Other exhibitors include SteppingStones, CUC, Health City Cayman Islands, UCCI and the International College of the Cayman Islands.
