Woman hospitalized after stabbing in George Town

 A woman remained in critical condition at the Cayman Islands Hospital over the weekend following a predawn stabbing Saturday.

The RCIPS reported the incident occurred after 4 a.m., after they received a 911 call indicating that “a female had been stabbed in the neck at the Dolphin Centre on Eastern Avenue.”

Police said the woman was able to speak with officers on the scene before she lost consciousness. As of Sunday, she remained in the hospital’s critical care ward following surgery.

No arrests were immediately reported.
