A Playhouse Family Christmas

Cayman Singing Christmas Tree
The 25-foot tree accommodates 60 singers!

Pink Ladies Christmas Bazaar
Christmas Bazaar and homemade tea. 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Crafts, country kitchen, plants, White Elephant, books, Santa’s Grotto, kids Christmas crafts and activities.

Chamber Christmas Cleanup
Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for a roadside cleanup to help to clean up the main and side roadways for the busy holiday season. The first 200 volunteers receive a free T-shirt and everyone receives clean-up supplies. Call the Chamber of Commerce at 949-8090 to sign up today.

Santa Run
6:30 a.m. Get into the spirit of the holiday season and support a very special cause. Join a parade of red and white for a 3K jolly jog around Camana Bay for some festive and family-friendly fun. $35 for adults, $20 for children 5-12, little ones under 5 are free. Registration includes a Santa T-shirt and holiday treats from The Waterfront Urban Diner.

Light up a Life, Ceremony of Remembrance
Open to the public, with a requested donation to Cayman HospiceCare of $10/light. Add your memorial shade to our tree of lights and celebrate the lives of those lost.

Kiwanis Santa Landing
Join the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman for its annual Santa Landing event at the Airport Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5. Kids get to meet Santa and each receive a free book. Enjoy bouncing castles, face painting, crafts, hot dogs, snow cones and more!

Christmas Arts and Craft Bazaar
Come out and enjoy this exciting event! Arts, crafts, handmade jewelry, mosaics, baked goods, henna tattoos, and so much more. Many local crafters and artists. Great holiday gifts. Cayman 27’s Parade of Lights
6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Boats aglow with thousands of brightly colored lights parade through The Harbour against a soundtrack of choirs while a Christmas market charms with local food and crafts.

Rotary Club Christmas Tree Lighting
Downtown George Town comes alive with a holiday showpiece hosted by the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman. The evening features a spectacular tree-lighting celebration, a visit by Father Christmas and songs of the season. The event starts at 6 p.m.
Dec. 9
Christmas at the Fort
The National Trust for the Cayman Islands invites the public to its annual volunteer appreciation evening, which includes cocktails and traditional holiday hors d’oeuvres. Fort George will be lit in celebration of the season and Christmas gifts will be on sale. The event takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visual Arts Society Christmas Craft Market
Visual Arts Society’s Christmas Craft Market 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Get a head start on holiday shopping and browse homemade art, jewelry, crafts, ornaments and more for the perfect Christmas gift with a local twist.

Santa Paws
10 a.m. to noon. Pets and their owners are invited to take holiday photos with Santa. The generous dog lovers from Picture This will be on site taking professional photos with prints for purchase and there will be holiday gift sales from the Cayman Islands Humane Society and Must Love Dogs. All photo and gift purchases will support the Cayman Islands Humane Society.

Culture at the Cinema – Nutcracker
In celebration of the festive season, guests can enjoy the family-friendly production of Bolshoi Ballet’s The Nutcracker on the big screen as part of the Culture at the Cinema series. This screening is open to all ages, tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 11 and under. For more details, visit bigscreen.ky. 6 p.m.

Jingle Bell Walk/Run
A long-standing favorite with the running crowd, the Jingle Bell Walk/Run raises funds for the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre. It starts and ends at the Holiday Inn. Many participants get into the Christmas Spirit by donning festive apparel. The event includes breakfast with Santa and raffle prizes. Register online at caymanactive.com.

St. Ignatius Christmas Concert and Fundraiser
The annual band Christmas concert concludes with a prize drawing of $25,000! Lots more prizes, including Cayman Airways travel vouchers. Tickets $25.

8th Annual Mistletoe White Party
Don your best winter whites and dance the night away at the hottest party of the season. The cost is $25 at the gate and part of the proceeds will benefit Cayman HospiceCare.

Christmas Lights Bus Tour
Join the National Trust’s Christmas Bus Tour and recapture the reason for the season. Sample Christmas beef and cassava cake to fuel you on the way and visit local yards decked out for the season. 6-8 p.m. Trust members $25, non members $30, kids (5-11) $15. Bookings required.

Gingerbread Man Tea
Seatings at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. See what happens when the magic of Christmas meets a child’s tea party where youngsters get to decorate their own gingerbread man. Indulge in tiny sandwiches and a tower of sweets before succumbing to the magic of Santa and his friends around the Christmas tree.

Miss Jackie’s – A Christmas Recital
Enjoy visions of sugar plum fairies under the stars as students from Miss Jackie’s School of Dance perform holiday classics. Starts at 6:30 p.m.

Dashing Through the Sand
Work off the turkey and Christmas Beef on this Boxing Day Walk/Run along Seven Mile Beach. The 1.5 mile-trek starts on the beach near Hemingways Restaurant and ends at Calico Jack’s. Includes breakfast and raffle prizes.
