Two arrested in West Bay burglary

Police say they arrested two West Bay men, 18 and 21, Wednesday on suspicion of committing a burglary on March 24.

The men are accused of breaking into a home on Uncle Jimmy Lane in West Bay and stealing a flat-screen television, dive gear, assorted electronics and a rain coat and pants, according to police.

Police say they were able to identify the suspects using evidence collected at the scene. “Detectives executed a two-day operation to locate and arrest the suspects involved,” the police service noted in a press release.

Officers did not locate the stolen goods. The stolen items include: a flat-screen 32” Seiki TV; assorted dive gear, including O’Neill dive gloves and lights, a Go PRO dual battery charger, wrist mount and rechargeable battery, and 2 Finger Reel Dive Spools; a laptop cooler with vacuum fan; an iPhone 4 and charging cable; and a rain coat suit with black pants and a red jacket.
