Fundraiser set for Boatswain Bay group

Boatswain Bay Presbyterian Church, Women in the Church will hold its biannual Ladies/Teen Girls Conference and Retreat May 13-15.

The conference will feature guest speaker Lori Wolfe.

“Lori and her husband Rich are no strangers to BBPC,” notes a flyer for the event. “Rich is the Caribbean regional director with Mission to the World (to which Pastor Ron is connected). Lori was here six years ago, helping lead our ‘Love Languages’ workshop at the church.

“She lived in the Philippines for a time as a missionary and now resides in Colorado Springs where she teaches English, public speaking and bible to middle and high school students. She is a popular women’s bible study and retreat speaker. She is looking forward being with us for a time of worship and mutual encouragement in our personal walks of faith in Jesus.”

To raise money for the event, the group will hold a fundraising bake sale on April 29 at Scotiabank, Central George Town, at 10 a.m.

The church website notes: “The women of Boatswain Bay are an active and integral part of the life of the church. They plan and coordinate church fellowships, sponsor church family activities and are involved in church and community service projects.”
