Teen arrested in stabbing outside bar

Victim still in hospital

Police arrested a 17-year-old man on Wednesday in connection with a stabbing earlier this month outside Bananas bar in George Town.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police said the suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, as well as drug offenses.

The attack happened in the early morning hours of May 5. Police were told a 30-year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds in the parking lot of Bananas, which is located in a shopping center on Eastern Avenue.

The victim was taken to hospital via private car and remained there Thursday in stable condition.

  1. Isn’t this the second time someone has been seriously assaulted outside Bananas Bar in the last few weeks?

By the way, I sadly predict another robbery with guns this weekend. The scum who carried out the last one has probably spent the money they stole by now and will be on the prowl for a new victim.

    I hope I am wrong.
