The Stroke and Stride three-series race ends with the final event on Aug. 17, with a 5:45 p.m. start at Sunset House.
The event starts with an 800-meter sunset sea swim followed by a 2-mile run through South Sound.
Individuals or teams who missed the first two events can still participate in the final one.
Trevor Murphy, president of the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association said, “We encourage all swimmers and runners to grab their suits and running shoes and take part.”
Entry fee for individuals is $15; fee for teams is $25. Participants must be members of the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association. Membership costs $15 annually and is available at registration. Minimum age on race day is 13 years. Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
TRAC Automotive and Jaguar Land Rover will provide a free Park & Ride service for race participants from St. Ignatius’s overflow car park and Bayshore Mall. Participants are encouraged to park at either of these locations to be transported to Sunset House for the races. Shuttles will run between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. before the race, and between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. after the race.
After the race, there will be an awards banquet and buffet for all participants provided by Sunset House, with presentations for top three male, female, and teams, as well as spot prizes.
