Police investigate shots fired at West Bay house

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service reports that it is investigating an incident in West Bay at which shots appear to have been fired at a home in Watercourse Road.

Police responded to a call from occupants of the premises about a loud noise around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night. When officers arrived, they found that one of the windows and the satellite dish at the residence was damaged by what appeared to be shotgun pellets.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Scenes of crime officers processed the scene. The case is now being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department, police said.

Anyone with information, or who was in the vicinity of Water Course Road at the time of the shooting is asked to call the West Bay Police Station CID at 949-3999 or the Confidential RCIPS Tip Line at 949-7777. Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS).
