Popular deejay and former football star Cachas Stewart, known as “Super C,” is hosting an anniversary show at the Mango Tree Friday night
Celebrating 29 years in the music industry in Cayman, Super C is bringing in three Jamaican deejays for the occasion.
The event has become an annual occasion, with proceeds going to his former football club, Future Sports Club.
This year, veteran performers Peter Metro, General Trees and Pinchers will be coming in for the show. The doors at the Mango Tree open at 8 p.m. with the show slated for an 11 p.m. start. Tickets cost $25 on the gate or $20 in advance from Funky Tang’s or Super C Restaurant.
Mr. Stewart said the event was his way of giving back to the community and to his former sports club.
“I don’t play anymore but still help out in any way I can, because football is what I grew up on and [it] helped me in life to do something positive and focus right,” he said. “It is a privilege for me to give back to the sport and especially the kids who are the future.”
The show also features local acts Shameka Clark, Big J, Andy Blake and Singing Diamond.
Mr. Stewart said his aim was always to promote uplifting and positive vibes through music.
