The annual Pink Ladies Christmas Tea and Bazaar drew hundreds to the Arts and Recreation Centre in Camana Bay Saturday.

Attendees at the family friendly day were treated to the ever popular afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes and cookies – all baked and prepared by the Pink Ladies themselves. For those who wanted to take home a taste of the homemade delights, there were plenty of scones, jams, jellies, cakes, chutneys and sweets to choose from.

Kids who went along had a chance to get their faces painted and to make their own Christmas decorations at the arts and crafts table. And, of course, Santa made an appearance and posed with children who wanted a special memento of the afternoon.

On another table, an array of handcrafted Christmas decorations, many with a marine theme and some made with recycled materials, were for sale.

As well as the Pink Ladies volunteer corps members, there were also student volunteers on hand to help out on the day.
