The Camana Bay Christmas Give and the Good Samaritan Food Bank are filling bags to help fill the pantries of less fortunate families in the community this Christmas.

Through the holiday season, Camana Bay hosted several events to raise money for the food bank, including a community festive dress-down day and the fourth annual Santa Run, in which more than 400 registrants ran alongside Santa this past Sunday.

The community has also donated non-perishable food items and grocery store vouchers that will be contributed to the food bank and to ARK [Acts of Random Kindness], who will distribute the vouchers to families in need this holiday season, a press release from Camana Bay states.

The release notes that it is not too late to be part of this charitable Christmas tradition to give back to the community, as food donations and grocery store vouchers are still being accepted at the Camana Bay Visitor Centre until Saturday, Dec. 23.
